Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Deuteronomy 11:19

This week we are looking at the Fruit of the Spirit, Kindness!
In Life Kids and Life Youth this week, we have been looking at some stories where Jesus models Kindness to us and how we can stop when we see something wrong and take action!
This family devotional called Kindness postcards comes from the Prayer Spaces at Schools website.
At the moment many people in care homes are really isolated and not even able to see family, we thought this activity was a lovely way we can show Kindness this week!
We would love you and your family to try and think of lots of different ways Jesus showed us kindness while he was on earth. Have a look through Matthew, Mark, Luke and John for some helpful reminders! 🙂
As you know, we love seeing photo’s of the family activities, so if you would like to show us your postcards (with addresses hidden), please email photos to email@example.com
This week we are looking at the Fruit of the Spirit, Peace!
This family devotional called Calm Jar comes from the Prayer Spaces at Schools website.
Can you find Numbers 6:24-26 and then Psalm 46:10 and read them together as a family, then do the activity?
As you know, we love seeing photo’s of the family activities, so if you would like to show us your glittery calm jar, please email photos to firstname.lastname@example.org
This week we are looking at the Fruit of the Spirit Joy!
This is a family devotional from the Prayer Spaces at Schools website called Jumping for Joy!
Can you find 1 Peter 1:8-9 and read together as a family and then do the activity?
When you have finished this family activity, please email photos to email@example.com
We would love to see them!
We know how great you are at showing love to other people! We have heard stories about rainbows, clapping, making food, and writing letters and cards!
We wanted to encourage you to keep doing these things and keep shining your light for God and showing people through your actions just how much the father loves them!
Here is a link to a quiz on “Love languages”. Love languages are 5 ways we show love or receive love and the quiz helps us work out which love language makes us feel especially loved! It is really great quiz to do with your family to find how you feel loved but also how different family members feel loved too! After you have done the quiz, why not make it your mission this week to do something for someone else showing them you love them in their “Love Language”.
You can find out more about love languages by reading the book by Gary Chapman or going to https://www.5lovelanguages.com/5-love-languages/
This week we are starting to look at the Fruits of the Spirit’s in our online video’s, so we thought it might be nice to have a fruity activity! 🙂
This week we would love you to make a Fruit Kebab with your child and while you are doing it talk about how; when we invite the Holy Spirit to live in our hearts He wants us to bear good fruit. In Galatians, Paul writes about the Fruits of the Spirit we will bear as we live more in step with the Spirit!
As you are making the Kebab, you can use it as a memory exercise for your child to remember all the Fruits of the Spirit!
“But the Fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control” Galatians 5:23-23
Evelyn from our Marley Hill site, would love to share this video she found on YouTube! She wants all the Life Kids to see it because she thinks it is great!
This week Laura encourages us all to make crosses for our windows.
This is a family devotional from 330 ministries about God taking care of us!
It’s a perfect devotional for right now (for all ages!) I hope you enjoy it!
This is a family devotional from the Prayer Spaces at Schools website
about love being bigger than fear. It is based on 1 John 4: 18.
Can you find the verse as a family and then do the activity?
When you have finished this family activity, please email
firstname.lastname@example.org with your pictures! We would love to see them!
Thank you for coming to the Life Families Resource Page!
Oh my, how life has changed in the last few months! We hope you are doing well and not feeling too overwhelmed.
There is so much to navigate at the moment, home-schooling, work, cleaning, cooking, keeping the house tidy (which is impossible with the hurricanes that are our beautiful, sweet kids!)
We love and care for you and your children so much, and we really don’t want to add to the pressure you might be feeling! So even though we are going to post some links to activities and also some videos of family devotional ideas, please only use them when and if you want to!
The Life Kids and Youth Team know your kids and know what a fabulous job you are doing.
So please know you are great! Continue what you are doing because your children are amazing, funny and gifted!
We are praying for you! You have got this!
