Alpha is an opportunity to explore the big questions of life and the Christian faith in a friendly and informal environment. It has been running all over the world for the last couple of decades and nearly 30 million people have taken part.
Each even of the Alpha Course includes a meal, a talk (using the Alpha film series) to introduce topic for discussion and then time to explore and talk about aspects of the Christian faith.
The first evening is an Alpha taster evening, you can come to this evening to see if the Alpha course is something you would like to do. The course then lasts for a further nine/ten weeks and followings the same pattern as above.
